NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT 34 Hp 25.5 Kw AC MOTORING DYNAMOMETER VERTICAL AND ORHORIZONTAL SMALL ENGINE DEVELOPMENT TEST STAND Application Engineering has been building 30,40 and 100 HpH/V and Horizontal only Eddy Current test stands with various customer specified absorbers for 12 years. This year after analyzing many different motors and concepts, we would like to offer this adaptation of a Siemens high speed machine tool spindle motor. One of the best features is that it fits in the frame of our existing later model Eddy Current units. A conversion of some of these units is economically possible. HVVEQMASSY (Vertical Engine Quick Mount Assembly A unique option to all H/V40 / 80 test stands built before 2005 Application Engineering Inc. is proud to offer its newest addition to the Horizontal/Vertical engine test stand family. This sub-assembly was designed and tested for usage with vertical shaft 1 & 2 cyl. engines. The primary purpose of this type of mounting system is to decrease the time for changing engines on these H/V test stands. This is accomplished with a dual cam-lock adapter plate clamping system, mounted on the front face of the dynamometer box. The engine is dressed and aligned to the Quick Mount Engine Adapter Plate (HVQMEAP01) and then placed on the Alignment Fixture (HVQMWAP01) on a nearby bench. This allows the user to set and lock the engine half of the crowned gear drive coupling. The fixture not only sets the correct height, but also centers the engine shaft within the confines of our quick mount engine adapter plate The core of the HVVEQMASSY is a Vertical Stand (HVRGM01) that mounts to the front plate of the dynamometer box with two manually effected cam clamps to clamp the quick mount engine adapter plate to the vertical stand. The plate and clamp system allows the engine and plate to be rotated in 900 increments. The circular steel shaft guard not only protects the workers from accidentally injecting something into the path of the revolving shaft, it also provides protection in case of shaft failure. The (HVCDQC01) crowned gear style coupling and dynamometer shaft adapter is a self-aligning nylon gear coupling with steel inserted splined adapters. This configuration provides easy movement for the engine with it's pre-attached adapter to be set into place upon the test stand. Operational speed of up to a 5,600 RPM This unit makes time-consuming (on the test stand mounting and alignment) a thing of the past and engines can be pre-dressed prior to testing. This pre-dressing allows for rapid turnover production testing.
